About Politics.
Ok so maybe I didnt plan this out as well as I thought. I figured discussing politics after the debate would be a really good idea. I thought wrong. I think after last night people are tired of hearing about it. (me too)
But I have never really discussed politics on this blog and politics is one of my big interests. I have even debated having a political science minor. It seems like this election more than ever people are unsure about who to vote for. They are disappointed with the unfulfilled promises that Obama spoke about 4 years ago but they are unsure that Mitt Romney its the right fit for our country.
I'll be completely honest. I base a lot of my vote on social issues. Its what hits home for me. Because I am hopeful to one day be a teacher, I also need to hear the right things being said about the future of our education system. Last night Obama promised to hire 100,000 more math and science teachers. While Romney spoke of tax cuts for the wealthiest 1 percent of our country. To me its common sense. I am not saying that everything Obama says is perfect and to be honest I wasn't impressed with his debate last night. The President will be in Madison today (my hometown) and I was there just four short years ago. I was so close I could have touched his show. (What a thrill)
I have plenty of friends that do not have the same political beliefs that I do. Thats ok. Sometimes even Dalton and I don't always agree. Thats the beautiful thing about it. Everyone can think what they want. Just vote. Everyone get out and vote. And be honest about what you believe. Don't hide because you aren't sure what people are going to think. Discuss politics. It can really make you feel more confident about your political decisions.
