The Breakfast Dilemma

We all have heard both sides to the breakfast Dilemma.
Do I eat breakfast? Or do I not eat breakfast?

I feel that the majority of 'experts' (whoever they are) would say that eating breakfast in the morning is essential.

Eating a balanced breakfast leads to healthier eating during the day.

Simply skipping breakfast will not help you lose weight but it is more likely to make you feel "starving" during the day and you are more likely to eat more throughout the day.

And not to mention, it is proven that eating breakfast boosts your metabolism. If you want to loose weight, wouldn't you want to speed up your metabolism? Im not trying to loose weight but I do regularly exercise and I try to be healthy. (Lets forget the malted milk balls, kit kat, and oatmeal cookie I had yesturday) Oops.

But I do try.

Now that I have decided that I in fact DO need to eat breakfast, the next dilemma is what to eat. I've been traumatized after hearing that a bagel is equivalent to 5 slices of bread. wait. 5 SLICES OF BREAD. Not including the cream cheese that I smear all over it. So bagels are out of the question.

I have also fallen in love with the Special K red berries cereal. Very tasty but I have found it not very filling and I feel hungry short after eating it.

I have always loved eggs but got really burnt out of scrambled eggs. (Those were the only kind I knew how to make) So I decided that it was time to figure out how to make an egg over easy. And now I have mastered it.

The bf and I like to mix it up with different kind of scrambles too. We add different veggies or different meats and suddenly plain old scramble eggs aren't so horrible.

I usually try to mix in a fruit or a piece of toast with eggs too. Just to make sure I am eating more balanced.

I would love to hear yummy easy breakfast ideas! Leave me a comment with any suggestion you have!
